Build real-time video, live streaming and AI communication into your app. Pay per minute through your Microsoft invoice, with no contract and no minimum spend.
VideoSDK gives developers the SDKs and infrastructure to add real-time video, voice, live streaming and AI voice agents to an app. It is now listed on Microsoft Marketplace, the single place that brings Azure Marketplace and AppSource together.
There is one plan, Pay as you go. You pay for the minutes you use.
What you gain by buying through Microsoft
- VideoSDK usage is billed through the Microsoft invoice you already get.
- There is no commitment, no minimum spend and no base platform fee.
- You manage the subscription from the Azure portal.
- If you need custom terms, the listing has a Request private offer button.
What the Pay as you go plan includes
- Audio and video calling on web, mobile and desktop
- Interactive live streaming
- Cloud recording in SD, HD and Full-HD
- RTMP simulcast to YouTube, Facebook or any RTMP destination
- Session quality analytics on every session, at no extra cost
- SDKs for JavaScript, React, React Native, Android, iOS, Flutter, Python and Unity, plus REST APIs and webhooks
Compliance add-ons are available on this plan too: HIPAA with a Business Associate Agreement, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and CERT-In.
What it costs
Every rate is per minute, and the charges come through your Microsoft invoice.
| What you use | Rate |
|---|---|
| Audio call | $0.001 per participant per minute |
| HD video call | $0.004 per participant per minute |
| Live stream viewers | from $0.0005 per viewer minute |
| HD cloud recording | $0.015 per minute |
| Recording storage | $0.003 per minute |
| RTMP simulcast | $0.03 per minute |
A one-hour HD video call with four people is 240 participant-minutes, which comes to $0.96.
Each resolution has its own rate, so you pay more only when you go to Full-HD or above. The full list is under Plans + Pricing on the listing.
Three ways to run VideoSDK with Azure
| Option | How it works | Pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Fully managed | VideoSDK manages the infrastructure, deployment, scaling and operations. | Usage-based |
| Hybrid | VideoSDK runs the real-time infrastructure. Recordings and data are stored in your own Azure Blob Storage. | Usage-based |
| Customer-hosted | VideoSDK is deployed inside your own Azure subscription. You control deployment, networking, security and data. | Fixed license fee, unlimited usage |
You can connect your own Azure Blob Storage for recordings from the VideoSDK dashboard. For customer-hosted, contact us first.
What you can build
Calling and live streaming are the base. On top of them you can add:
- Live transcription and captions, plus transcripts and summaries after the call
- SIP Connect, which brings phone calls into your VideoSDK meetings
- AI voice agents with turn detection, interruption handling and memory. They can run on Azure OpenAI models through our Azure OpenAI plugin.
What customers have built
Groww, a leading investment platform in India, runs Video KYC on VideoSDK with a success rate of about 90%. It went live within a month.
Coderschool teaches coding in Vietnam. After it moved its online sessions to VideoSDK, session hours went up 140%.
Call failures on Examedi's telehealth platform went down by 50%, according to the Latin American healthcare startup.
How to Buy VideoSDK Through Microsoft Marketplace
Buy VideoSDK directly through Microsoft Marketplace on the Pay as you go plan. Microsoft handles the billing, while VideoSDK helps you with setup and onboarding.
The process at a glance
Get It Now → Choose Plan and Subscription → Complete Purchase → Configure Your VideoSDK Account → Start Using VideoSDK
Step 1: Open the VideoSDK Listing
On the VideoSDK Microsoft Marketplace listing, select Get it now and sign in with your Azure account. Need custom terms? Select Request private offer instead.
Step 2: Choose Your Plan and Azure Subscription
Review or choose:
- The Pay as you go plan
- The Azure subscription that will be billed
- A resource group
- A name for the SaaS subscription (you can't change it after purchase)
Step 3: Review and Complete the Purchase
Review your contact details, which are shared with VideoSDK, and the terms of use, then select Complete purchase. The purchase can take up to a minute, so keep the window open.
Important: Required Azure Permissions
You need the Owner or Contributor role on the Azure subscription. The subscription must have a valid payment method. Student, Visual Studio Enterprise and free credit subscriptions can't purchase SaaS products.
Step 4: Configure Your VideoSDK Account
After the purchase, continue to the VideoSDK site to set up or sign in to your VideoSDK account. Do this promptly: if a plan waits for account setup before it activates, Microsoft deletes the subscription after 30 days.
Step 5: Start Using VideoSDK
Once your account is set up, you can integrate our real-time communication infrastructure into your application. Our team can also help you with onboarding and technical requirements.
Step 6: Billing Is Handled by Microsoft
Your usage is billed per minute through your Microsoft invoice. You can manage, change or cancel the subscription from the SaaS page in the Azure portal.
What You Need Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- An Azure account
- An Azure subscription with a valid payment method
- The Owner or Contributor role on that subscription
- Your VideoSDK usage and technical requirements
- A VideoSDK account or the ability to register for one
Having Trouble Completing the Purchase?
If you can't complete the purchase:
- Make sure you're signed in with the correct Azure account.
- Confirm that you have the Owner or Contributor role on the subscription.
- Check that the subscription has a valid payment method and isn't a free or student subscription.
- Contact your organization's Azure administrator if you don't have access.
- Contact the VideoSDK team if you need help with your purchase or setup.
