FAQs
What are private projects?
All Glitch projects are public by default. For existing paid members, private projects allow control over who can view or edit their code, and who can see their live Glitch projects.
What is "always-on"?
With the Starter plan, full-stack apps go to sleep after five minutes of inactivity. They wake up when visited but may show a loading screen. Always-on apps, a feature for existing Pro subscribers, do not sleep, and only editing time is counted against project hours.
What else does the Pro plan include?
In addition to boosted full-stack apps that are always-on and private projects, the Pro plan (for existing subscribers) includes robust access control, more project hours, and no rate limits.
Is Glitch ending its web hosting services?
Yes, Glitch project hosting and user profiles will be shut down on 8th July 2025. Users can access their dashboard to download code and set up subdomain redirects until the end of 2025.
