How It Works

  • For Snipping Tool (Desktop):
    • Open the Snipping Tool and select "Create a new Snip".
    • Choose the area of interest on your screen to capture and crop it.
    • The Snipping Tool instantly converts the image, and the result is automatically copied to your clipboard.
    • Paste the digitised content directly into your document or application.
  • For Snip (Mobile):
    • Use the Snip mobile app to take a photo of the image or document.
    • Crop the desired section to digitise and scan it.
    • Sync the content to your desktop to copy the converted output, such as LaTeX, and paste it into your document.

How is Snips and PDFs usage shared in organisations?

In a Mathpix Snip organisation, Snips and PDFs usage is 'pooled,' allowing all members to share one pool of available Snips and PDFs for increased flexibility and efficiency.

Can I cancel the subscription in the middle of the month/year, so that I don’t forget to turn it off later?

Yes, you can cancel your Mathpix subscription at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle and will not auto-renew.

I forgot to cancel my subscription and got charged. Can I get a refund?

Subscriptions are non-refundable per the Terms of Use. If you forgot to cancel before renewal, the charge cannot be reversed, but you can cancel anytime to prevent future bills.

I’ve bought the one year Pro plan with my Alipay account, but my subscription has not been upgraded. What should I do?

Check your payment status with Alipay. If it was processed but not reflected, Alipay may refund automatically. Contact support@mathpix.com with your account details and proof of payment if not resolved.

I require more usage than available in the Pro plan. Can I increase my image and PDF limit?

Yes, you can enable Extra Usage to exceed the Pro plan’s allowance. Additional Snips and PDFs are charged per usage, and you can toggle Extra Usage from your dashboard.

I signed up with a .edu email but my usage limits stayed the same. What should I do?

Contact support@mathpix.com with your .edu email, and the team will assist in updating your usage limits.
